Hi; I'm trying to hatch out my Angelfish spawn away from the community tank but every time I put the eggs in the rearing tank they get covered in fungus. I have a sponge filter and an air stone in this tank but still get fungus. I was told that methylene blue would stop the fungus but I have yet to find a pharmacy in London that carries it. Does anyone have a suggestion for this problem. Thanks in advance Bob.
just put 2 or 3 capfuls in a glass of water and pour it in the tank above the eggs just after you add them . it wont hurt anything and does the same as meth blue
My thoughts exactly, what is the mysterious substance that is added to 2 or 3 capfuls of water and pour over your eggs to keep them from getting fungus? ;)
Just to let everyone know it appears that the peroxide work as I have not got any fungus on this batch of eggs. Also I have learned that Meth blue is now a banned substance and cannot be sold in Canada.
